As a blogger or website publisher, you have probably heard
about the importance of content. You need articles for your
ezine, content for your website or blog to keep it fresh,
and even more articles if you’re selling your own ebooks.
Yikes! Now, before you break into a sweat, there are ways to
get all of the content that you could possibly need –
without sitting on your bottom for 12 hours each day, typing
your little fingers off.

Why do you need content? There are a few reasons.

First, search engines, like Google.com love content. They
value content more than anything so the more pages you have
on your website or blog filled with quality content, the
better. Note: Quality content is valued. Junk content is
penalized. So, stick to quality over quantity.

Second, great information adds value to those who come to
your website. When people come to a website that offers a
lot of value, they’re much more likely to tell others about
it, link to the site themselves, talk about it on forums,
digg it, and come back frequently to see what’s new.

Third, quality content establishes you as an expert in your
field. If you’re writing and sharing great information,
people will begin to look at you as their “go to” person for
information on that topic. You’re reading this article right
now, aren’t you?

So, where do you get articles for your site? Well, you have
several options, each with its pros and cons.

1. Write it yourself. This is, of course, the option that
most “do it yourself” publishers choose and there’s nothing
wrong with it. However, some of the options below will
afford you a bit more freedom and help you to reach new
levels of efficiency (and business growth).

2. Hire a Writer. This is a great option. Simply go to a
site like Elance.com, Guru.com or Shelancers.com and you’ll
find many qualified writers willing to write content for
your website. This is highly recommended for article
marketing if you don’t want to write the articles yourself.
Even if you receive the articles and then edit them to add
your personality, you’ll save a lot of time and effort
verses writing all of the content yourself.

3. Team up. Either through networking or word of mouth, find
other online business owners who would like to become
featured columnists for your site. If they are in a
non-competing but related business, you can both benefit
from this type of partnership. Your buddy will get free
advertising and exposure and you’ll receive unique content.

4. Visit the Article Directories. Check out the popular
article directories like ezinearticles.com and
freeaffiliatearticles.com for a plethora of articles written
by known experts. These articles are available to publishers
like you to reprint for free on your website. All you have
to do is include the “author bio” which is the blurb at the
end with a live link back to their website. As long as you
do that, you may use as many of those articles as you’d
like.

5. Load up on PLR articles. PLR articles are an internet
marketer’s dream come true. PLR stands for Private Label
Rights and means that you can freely edit the articles from
these sites, and publish them on your website without being
required to link back to any other sites. You become the
expert when using PLR articles. Personalize the articles,
tweak them for your market, insert examples or photos or
case studies and publish them on your website — or just use
them as they are. Either way, you gain a lot of flexibility
when working with PLR. Not only that but they are very
affordable. How do you choose a good PLR site? Simple. Find
a PLR service that’s been around for awhile and offers
professionally written and edited content that’s sold in
limited quantities. That will ensure that you’re not getting
recycled PLR from an unsavory reseller, but are getting your
hands on top-quality content.

Well, that’s a quick intro to getting content for your site.
I hope it gives you some ideas to help you build a booming
internet business. My wish for you is to work smarter, not
harder — and watch your online business grow!

Of all the things that can have an effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will not happen without personal growth. It’s really the open door to it all. In fact I’d like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is, “The major key to your better future is YOU.”

Let me repeat that. “The major key to your better future is YOU.” Put that someplace you can see it every day, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere where you can see it every day. The major key to your better future is YOU. Try to remember that every day you live and think about it. The major key is YOU.

Now, there are many things that will help your better future. If you belong to a strong, dynamic, progressive company, that would help. If the company has good products, good services that you are proud of, that would certainly help. If there were good sales aids, that would help, good training would certainly help. If there is strong leadership, that will certainly help. All of these things will help, and of course, if it doesn’t storm, that will help. If your car doesn’t break down, that will help. If the kids don’t get sick, that will help. If the neighbors stay halfway civil, that will help. If your relatives don’t bug you, that will help. If it isn’t too cold, if it isn’t too hot, all those things will help your better future. And if prices don’t go much higher and if taxes don’t get much heavier, that will help. And if the economy stays stable, those things will all help. We could go on and on with the list; but remember this, the list of things that I’ve just covered and many more – all put together – play a minor role in your better future.

The major key to your better future is you. Lock your mind onto that. This is a super important point to remember. The major key is you. A friend of mine has always answered when asked, “How do you develop an above-average income?” He says, “Simple. Become an above-average person. Work on you.” My friend says, “Develop an above-average handshake.” He says, “A lot of people want to be successful, and they don’t even work on their handshake. As easy as that would be to start, they let it slide. They don’t understand.” My friend says, “Develop an above- average smile. Develop an above-average excitement. Develop an above-average dedication. Develop an above-average interest in other people.” He says, “To have more, become more.” Remember; work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For a long time in my life, I didn’t have this figured out.

Strangely enough, with two different people in the same company one may earn an extra $100 a month, and the other may earn a $1,000. What could possibly be the difference? If the products were the same, if the training was the same, if they both had the same literature, the same tools. If they both had the same teacher, the same compensation plan, if they both attended the same meetings, why would one person earn the $100 per month and the other person earn the $1000?
Remember here is the difference…the difference is personal, inside, not outside, inside.

You see the real difference is inside you. In fact, the difference IS you. Someone once said, “The magic is not in the products. The magic is not in the literature. The magic is not in the film. There isn’t a magic meeting, but the magic that makes things better is inside you, and personal growth makes this magic work for you.

The magic is in believing. The magic is in daring. The magic is in trying. The real magic is in persevering. The magic is in accepting. It’s in working. The magic is in thinking. There is magic in a handshake. There is magic in a smile. There is magic in excitement and determination. There is real magic in compassion and caring and sharing. There is unusual magic in strong feeling and you see, all that comes from inside, not outside. So, the difference is inside you. The real difference is you. You are the major key to your better future.

If you have a business of your own that you are attempting to promote and are having trouble, it may be because you have not first created an internet marketing plan. Internet marketing is extremely complicated and is much more difficult than simply putting some keywords in the text of your site. An internet marketing plan consists of 8 basic steps: strategic planning, situation analysis, customer analysis, market and product focus, product positioning, pricing strategy, product distribution, and internet promotion.

Step Number 1: Strategic Planning…
When promoting your business online, you need to keep some things in mind. Ask yourself the question, “what am I good at?” You need to discover how your business is different from the rest by discovering the advantages that you have over your competitors.

Step Number 2: Situation Analysis…
This is basically learning about the market that you are in. This can be achieved though various studies such as SWOT analysis, conducting an industry analysis, and analyzing your competition. The more you know about the industry you are in and how you can succeed in it, the better.

Step Number 3: Customer Analysis…
Simply put, this step involves learning about your customers. How you are going to effectively market to someone that you know nothing about? You need to know their likes, dislikes, hobbies, jobs, family life, etc if you are going to market to them effectively. In fact, some businesses do invent personalities that act as the target customer and develop a plan of marketing to them.

Step Number 4: Market and Product focus…
This step involves segmenting your market and making your company different from your competitors. This is often times referred to as the “Unique Selling Point” or “USP”.

Step Number 5: Product positioning…
Simply put, when a person hears a company name, certain thoughts come to mind. When somebody says your company name, what thoughts should come to mind? This is something you need to think about. You need to know how to position your business in your customer’s mind. If you haven’t learned about them yet, acquaint yourself with the 4 Ps of marketing: product, position, promotion, and price.

Step Number 6: Pricing Strategy…
This is also one of the 4 Ps of marketing. You need to know how to effectively price your goods or services. A good way is to take a look at what the competition is charging. If you are new to the business, you will need to undercut their prices.

Step number 7: Product Distribution…
This is the second P in the 4 P’s of marketing, also known as position. This is the physical location where your product or service is offered. And yes, if you have an internet business then your position is the internet.

Step Number 8: Internet Promotion
This is how you are going to advertise your business on the internet. There are plenty of different methods at your disposal including newsletters, search engines, article marketing and pay per click advertising. Experiment with each of them and try to find what best suits your business.
