There is a technique of writing articles that can have massive amounts of people arriving at your site.  These internet marketing techniques are not like coming up with your typical educational articles because you have to put more time, effort and research into them.

The strategy is known as “link baiting” and it focuses on taking advantage of people’s natural intense curiosity.  This is called link bait simply because the content associated with the article causes a good deal of people to mention it on social bookmarking sites and forums.    One of several key factors in writing an effective link bait article is the title, which I will demonstrate soon.

Practically each and every successful link bait article that has been created is actually based on a list.  People seem to really like lists and will link to them again and again.  The list can be on the subject of anything, from a list of resources to a list on how to do something.

Normally, if it is a list of resources then it is going to take a while to research and organize.  This is why the effort is higher than average although the reward can be impressive.

So, let’s take internet marketing as an example around which to write a link bait article.  What are internet marketers interested in?  I am figuring that they all want to learn how to build their list correctly and drive traffic to their website by using the best strategies.  They are probably also very interested in learning different search engine optimization techniques to rank their site higher in the search engines.

A topic like this will serve as a couple of purposes; people will check it out to see if they agree with your selection and it will also create debate and discussion on your site because people might disagree with your selection.

When writing this link baiting article, I would decide what factors to consider in rating the top 5 internet marketing strategies , the time it takes to implement,  best ways to build a list, best ways to optimize your list, search engine optimization strategies, traffic techniques, etc. I would have to spend time researching all this information to compile my list.  Then, I would read all the information I can find about internet marketing before compiling my article.

Once the article is written, the make or break section is the article title.  This is what people are going to read and determine whether or not they will click the link.  It has to stand out and has to make the visitor curious enough to click.

Here are a few title ideas below:

1)  Discover The Surprising Top 5 Internet Marketing Mistakes Of All Time

2)  5 Proven Steps To Succeed In Your Internet Marketing Business

3)  Top 5 Internet Marketing Strategies – All You Need To Know About Internet Marketing

I am sure those titles would generate large number of clicks, especially because so many individuals are trying to learn how internet marketing works and trying to find ways to be successful online.

Another good idea for writing your article title is to use the word “mistakes” because nobody likes to make them.  People will click the title to find out what these mistakes are.

Sticking with our internet marketing example, do you think internet marketers would click on a link that says “5 Mistakes You Are Making That Are Decreasing Traffic To Your Blog”?  I think they would want to put their mind at comfort knowing that they are not making any mistakes!

When applying these internet marketing techniques, it could be a challenge.  Writing link bait articles can be a lot of fun, but keep in mind that it usually requires a lot of effort on your part to prepare the article and there is no guarantee of success right away.  Once you have written a few then you will start to get the hang of what works and what does not work.  If you are consistent, this link baiting technique will bring you tons of traffic.

Have you heard about the accelerated learning curve? From birth, until the time we are about eighteen, our learning curve is dramatic; and our capacity to learn during this period is just staggering. We learn a tremendous amount very fast. We learn our language, culture, history, science, mathematics…everything!

For successful people, the accelerated learning process will continue on. But for most people only wishing for some sort of success, it levels off when they get their first job. Because for most people, if there are no more exams to take, if there are no demands placed upon them to study, then there is really no reason to read any more books. But it doesn’t have to be that way for you.

Try to imagine what would happen if you kept up an accelerated learning curve for the rest of your life… Try to imagine what MLM skills you could learn, and the capacities you would have… I ask you this because I believe success is simple, but only for that unusual person who keeps up his or her learning curve and develops an appetite for always trying to find good ideas.

One great way to find good ideas is through the writings of influential people. Maybe you can’t meet the person, but you can read his or her books. Churchill is gone, but we still have his books. Aristotle is gone, but we still have his ideas. Search libraries for books and programs. Search magazines. Search documentaries. They are full of opportunities for intellectual feasting.

In addition to reading and listening, you also need a chance to do some talking and sharing. I had many people in my life who helped me with important life questions, who assisted me in refining my own philosophy, weighing my values and pondering the questions about success and lifestyle.

We all need association with people of substance to provide influence concerning major issues such as society, money, enterprise, family, love, friendship, culture, taste, opportunity, and community. Philosophy is mostly influenced by ideas, ideas are mostly influenced by education, and education is mostly influenced by the people with whom we associate.

One of the great fortunes of my life was to be influenced over a period of five years by a man named Mr. J. Earl Shoaff. During that time he shared ideas with me at dinner, during airline flights, at business conferences, in private conversations and in groups. Those ideas enabled me to make small daily adjustments in my philosophy and activities. Those daily changes, some very slight but very important, were soon making all the difference in my life.

And a big part of the lesson was having Mr. Shoaff repeat those ideas over and over again. You just can’t hear the fundamentals too often. The repetition of good ideas are the building blocks for a well-developed mind… It’s true; with the right ideas, habits and goals, success is simple.

So remember to feed your mind just as you feed your body. Feed it with good ideas, wherever they can be found—MLM business ideas, product ideas, service ideas, ideas for personal improvement. Because every new idea will help to refine your philosophy. Your philosophy in turn will guide your life, and your life will unfold with distinction and pleasure.

To Your Success,
